How do I check on an order I have placed?
For questions regarding the status of your order, registered members with an account can view your Order Status. If you do not have an account set up, then please contact our customer service representatives by emailing us or calling our toll free number (855) 461-6512 or (323) 461-6512 (from within the U.S. only, otherwise dial +1-323-461-6512 and then press 0) from 9am to 5pm Pacific Time. Please include your order number with all inquiries.
How do I use a promo code?
If you sign up for our email newsletter or "like" us on Facebook you'll start receiving some fun perks, like the occasional promo code for a limited-time discount on select items. To use a code, simply enter it during checkout. Only one promo code is allowed per order, so if you have 2 codes you'd like to use, pick the one that gives you the best deal. Sorry, promo codes won't work on our Good Buys, which are already crazily discounted. Promo codes cannot be applied to past purchases and there no rainchecks on out-of-stock items.
What is your return policy?
If you are not satisfied with any product you receive from your online order, you can return it. Please note that Good Buys items and eGift Cards are final sale and are non-refundable. Click here for information on how to return your order.
How do I cancel an order?
To cancel an order you must call or email us within 24 hours of placing your order to process the cancellation. Call our toll free number (855) 461-6512 or (323) 461-6512 (from within the U.S. only, otherwise dial +1-323-461-6512 and then press 0) from 9am to 5pm Pacific Time. Any orders placed on weekends will be processed and cancelled the following business day.
Do you accept international orders?
We can currently ship orders to addresses in the U.S. and Canada. The U.S. addresses include PO boxes, APO/FPO, and those in U.S. Territories. For orders shipped to Canada any applicable duties, tariffs or other fees will be the responsibility of the customer.

Why do the product shades look different on my computer?
Please keep in mind that monitors display colors differently. Try setting your monitor to a resolution of 1024 x 768 or higher (1280 x 800, etc.). Check your computer documentation for the optimum setting for your particular monitor. This site is best viewed with Chrome, Firefox 3, Safari 3, Internet Explorer 7 or higher and a minimum monitor resolution of 1024 x 768. Please feel free to email us with questions about specific colors.
How can I get Josie Maran Cosmetics samples?
We are currently unable to mail out samples by request. When you shop with us online we provide samples with our orders (when available).
Is Josie Maran Cosmetics an organic cosmetics line?
Josie Maran Cosmetics is a natural cosmetics line. We do have products that are 100% organic, but not all are formulated in this manner. We formulate with as many powerful natural and organic ingredients as possible because of the implicit health benefits these ingredients provide you and the planet. Plus, by purchasing natural and organic ingredients we are supporting farmers who value more sustainable and eco-friendly agricultural practices. We also use fair trade ingredients (where applicable) to insure that the suppliers are duly compensated for their work.
Why do you use synthetics in some of your makeup products?
Over time, we have found that a small number of synthetic ingredients are essential to maintain the performance, color, and stability of a high-end cosmetics line. We strive to be as green and healthy as possible while providing the most gorgeous, wearable, and lasting makeup possible.
Is Josie Maran Cosmetics a vegan cosmetics line?
We offer a wide variety of products acceptable to our vegan customers (see the View Our Icons tab under the About the Brand page). We are always mindful of our producers and sources, so when we do use non-vegan ingredients such as lanolin, beeswax, or carmine we make sure that they are organic and/or sustainably harvested.
Is Josie Maran Cosmetics gluten free?
The Argan Moisture Stick, the Mini Argan Moisture Stick, and the Argan Color Sticks in Rosey and Petal Pink all contain wheat germ oil. Studies have proven inconclusive as to whether or not wheat germ oil contains gluten, but we believe it's safer to err on the side of caution for those with gluten sensitivity. None of our other products are formulated with ingredients that contain gluten. Our cosmetics are made following good manufacturing practices; however, they may be produced or stored near gluten containing ingredients.
Does Josie Maran Cosmetics use parabens?
No. We do not use parabens, synthetic fragrances, phthalates, or sulfates in any of our products.
Is nanotechnology being used with the titanium dioxide or zinc oxide in your Protect SPF?
No, these naturally occurring minerals are not turned into nano particles. The titanium dioxide and zinc oxide reflect the sun without being absorbed into the skin, thus providing an effective, chemical free barrier.
What is the percentage of Titanium Dioxide and Zinc Oxide in Protect SPF?
Titanium Dioxide is 9.5%, Zinc Oxide is 6.0%
